Job description

We are looking for experienced Functional Safety Engineer with good understanding of System and HW.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing hazard and risk analysis, defining safety requirements and objectives, developing safety concepts and architectures, verifying and validating safety functions and systems, and documenting the safety lifecycle activities for vehicle-level features and components.
  • Applying the principles and methods of functional safety to various domains, such as autonomous driving, advanced driver assistance systems, electric vehicles, etc.
  • Collaborating with other engineers, managers, customers, suppliers, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure the compliance and effectiveness of the functional safety solutions.
  • Managing hazardous and special waste programs and profiles including audits/inspections, vendor compliance, documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Researching, developing and designing the technical systems in vehicles using sophisticated technology in a safe and user-friendly way in the vehicle’s navigation, warning, control and fuel systems.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Functional Safety Principles: ASIL / SIL, Risk Models, Failure types, Counter Measures used in FuSa, Safety mechanisms, DFA / FFI, Difference between Verification and Validation

  • Safety Management: FSM, DIA, Safety Plan, Safety Case, Reviews, Inspections. Safety Development Lifecycle. Concept – safety Goals, Functional Safety Concept. System, Technical Safety Concept, SSR’s, Safety manual, Safety Mechanisms selection and definitions. HW development process, typical ECU architecture, electronic components, Safety Mechanisms selection and definitions. SW development process, Safety Mechanisms selection and definitions. Production – partially
  • Analysis: HARA, HAZOP, DFA, FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, ETA, Impact Analysis
  • Processes: SPICE / ASPICE, V-Model, IATF, eGAS
  • Personality: Adapts to Changes, Handling Ambiguity, Public presentations, close work with customers
